From Seaway's CEO.. FastMold™ is the Seaway method of blending technology, craftsmanship, and human input into a process that results in the fastest, most flexible route to take your plastic part requirements from print to production. At the heart of FastMold™ is the flexibility that is required as designs evolve during the development and “de-bugging” stages. We accept the challenge that engineering changes must be incorporated into the mold in a quick and efficient manner. Unlike many of our so-called competitors who are simply brokers of molds and molding services, Seaway understands the key to our success is having a significant in-house tooling capability that allows us greater control and flexibility to meet the needs of our valued customers. With our large molding capacity, we can meet our customer’s needs whether the order is for a quick-turn prototype mold or a low volume production run. Many of our customers are taking advantage of an opportunity to consolidate their existing service/low volume molds with Seaway, allowing them to reduce their vendor base and receive the attentive service they deserve! Speed and flexibility must be combined with a consistent commitment to quality. We have proudly been an ISO Registered Company since 1999 and understand the need for constant improvement and personal growth. Our overall emphasis on quality and detail has been shaped by the 50% of our business that originates from Medical related products. Whether you are in the early stages of a new project and desire input on your evolving design and estimated costs, or if you have progressed to the point of needing a formal project review and quotation, please call our FastRFQ™ line to speak with one of our engineers. Our FastRFQ™ phone number is 727-845-3235 or email us at eng@seawaype.com. Thank you for visiting the Seaway Plastics Engineering web site! Tim Smock-CEO |
The Seaway Times, In 2007 we expanded capabilities in both our tool shop and production facilities to accommodate our continued growth. Three additional HAAS CNC centers were installed in our tool shop and our production facility took delivery of 44, 89, and 500 ton Nissei presses along with our first vertical molding machine, an 89-ton Engle press. The Engle press will enhance our insert/over-molding capabilities. We have an extensive background with insert/over-molding, a growing market for Seaway. We now have 18 injection molding machines ranging in size from 44-ton to 500-ton with a larger machine in the 1000 ton range planned for 2008! With the growing emphasis on the cosmetic needs of plastic parts, we have upgraded our painting and decorating facility, Florida Finishing, LLC (www.floridafinishing.com). With low-volume cosmetic parts, painting a part can often be a cost effective approach versus paying the price for custom colored resin and enduring the quality challenges that can arise from molding custom colors during low volume production runs. As always, we'll be participating in
numerous trade shows during 2008. Below is an image of our
current show
booth along with a listing of trade show names, locations, and
dates. We hope to see you there! *Medical Design and Manufacturing *AMCON Show in *OEM/Medical *AMCON Show in *Biomedical Device Show-San Jose, CA September 10th -11th *Medical Design and Manufacturing Give us a call or come visit Seaway and let us know how we can work together to make your next prototype or low volume production project a success!
